H.M.S.L. RULES

ASA Rules in Effect with Following Added:

 

1. No women can play

2. Player must be 18 years or older

3. Three swings - foul on 3rd strike is an out

4. Morning Division: 15 run rule in effect after 5 innings

Evening Division: 12 run rule in effect after 5 innings (due to time restraints)

5. Courtesy runners - 3 maximum, previous out runs

6. Can start game with "8" men

7. Evening Division

. Can bat 12 men - can rotate 12 men in and out of game and change positions.

. Once a 13th man is sent in, player coming out cannot return

. If team begins with 10 men and a player shows up, he can go into the game as long as

the team has not batted around once.

. If a team begins with 8 or 9 players, they can add a 9th or 10th player at any time.

. * If a player is ejected and there is no one to replace him, the NEXT time up he is

called out, after that just skip over his turn at bat.

. ** Not an out if there is an injury and can not be replaced

Morning Division - NEW rule

. Can bat as many players you want.

. If player is ejected or has to leave the game, he is out at next plate appearance.

Make-Ups:

. Will try to put in if time allows

. Game complete if goes 5 full innings

Ties:

 

Tied records for 1^st  place will be decided by a head to head competition during the season

If season record is tied, then single game will decide ^1st place

If teams are tied for remaining playoff spots they also will be decided by a head to head competition
