The Nassau County A.S.A. Umpires Association will be running a class for prospective slow-pitch officials for the upcoming 2008 season. There will be  nine (9) classes in this course,  ALL  of which must be attended or made-up. ALL THE CLASSES ARE FROM 7:45 PM ( Sharp) TO 10:15 PM. The scheduled dates are as follows:

These classes will be held at the BOWLING GREEN GRAMMAR SCHOOL on Stewart Ave. in East Meadow (West of Carman Ave; East of Salisbury Park Dr.; South of Old Country Rd.; North of Hempstead Tpke.) A loose-leaf book containing handout material, note  paper and your 2006 Rule Book will be supplied. Bring a pen or pencil!!!!!!!!!. This course includes fieldwork and gym work. This is a $75  cash course. No checks will be accepted.  Always have sneakers with you and a baseball/softball glove in your car, you might need them.

IMPORTANT: After receiving this notice, please call me ASAP to acknowledge receipt. Call me at 631-266-1245, 7pm to 9pm any weekday. Leave your name, attending or not, on my machine. If you need to speak to me, leave a message. Notification of class cancellation  will be obtained by calling my phone and listening to my answering machine message, after 4pm. the  day of the class or you can call 516-228-5232  ex 8400 that is the East Meadow School District Weather line.

From Hempstead Tpke and Carman Ave (where the NCMC Hospital is)., go north on Carman Ave-past the jail, past Salisbury Park Drive and continue north until Stewart Ave-Gas Stations on both corners.( IF YOU HIT OLD COUNTRY RD, YOU WENT TO FAR). Make a left and go down Stewart for about ¼ mile and there  will be a   �horseshoe shaped� one story grammar school building on the left. Park in the horseshoe if you can. Read the signs. As you look at the Building- Building#1 is to the LEFT and Building#2 is to the RIGHT.
