HUNTINGTON SOFTBALL
COMMISSION LEAGUE RULES
- A courtesy runner will
be permitted but only if the person that needs the runner is a DH or a
catcher. If you are not healthy enough to run for yourself, you should not
be n the field. The runner will be the last person to be called out.
- Teams must have 9
players at all times. You can add a 10th player at any time and
additional players as long as the opponent agrees. If for any reason you do
not have a replacement for a player that has to be taken out of the game,
his position in the batting order constitutes an out for the first time his
turn comes around. This is only if appealed! If the opponent does not
catch this, it is not an out. After the first time, that spot in the order
is bypassed without penalty.
- There is a 15 run rule
after 5 full innings, with no sudden death.
- Roster changes can be
made until June 1.
- The forfeit time for
the first game is game time. Forfeit time for the second game of a double
header is 30 minutes later.

game must replace their forfeit bond before their next scheduled contest or
risk suspension from the program. Replacement of forfeit fees must be paid
to Tom Granito, 631-271-5003.

up if at all possible. Rainouts can and will be scheduled on any day,

occurs after 5 P.M., the Parks Department and/or umpires will decide if the
contest will be played. All players on or off the field will act in a
mature manner during the occurrence of lightning and must realize that the
umpire or a town employee may postpone or cancel a game for the safety of
all involved. The Parks Department reserves the right to declare any field
not playable.

with no advance on the catch allowed.
- You may bat as many
people in your line up as you wish, but only 10 can play in the field at one
time.
- If at any time, you do
