Team Long Island (TLI) went undefeated in winning the ASA 12U Eastern National title in Sterling Virginia in early August.  This followed on the heels of their second place finish at the FAST Nationals in Orlando, Florida in early July.   Team Long Island is a girl's 12 and under (12U) Fastpitch travel team. TLI was formed last year by Angel Mangual and Angelo Marino. The team is made up of some of the most talented and brightest 12 year-old athletes on Long Island.  Historically, teams from northern states have had difficulty competing down south.  Team Long Island is trying to change that.  TLI is looking forward to more success as a 14U team in 2007.
